Self Catering
Sladen is a big old family house and all rooms are large with high ceilings. There are 7 bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite and a family bathroom.
It is a great house where you can relax with all ages and have some fun. The kitchen/diner is functional and the sitting room is respectable (!) – for us the sitting room is a haven, somewhere to relax or enjoy “special” time with family and friends. The kitchen/diner/conservatory is a living room, a large party room where all ages can spread out, eat together, dance and play. It is a space that the children can really enjoy without worry of damage etc.
Outside
Please note that the trampoline and treehouse present obvious dangers for children. Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult whilst on or in these structures. The owners will not be liable for any injury sustained whilst using them.
The garden is mainly laid to lawn and the drive is flat. There is space for at least 6 cars. There is a 14’ trampoline, BBQ & garden furniture.

maker. Conservatory with sofa and armchairs Sitting room with 3 settees.
First Floor
- Bedroom 1 (refurbished – period style) with 6’ bed, wall mounted TV/DVD, en-suite shower room
- Bedroom 2 with double bed
- Bedroom 3 with zip and link beds with en-suite bathroom with bath and shower over.
- Bedroom 4 with twin beds (sharing guest bedroom en-suite)
- Family bathroom with shower over (this is situated at the bottom of the stairs to the top floor
The
master bedroom has been refurbished in Victorian style with a modern shower
room with electric shower. The other bedrooms are comfortable with old
furniture but modern beds. The guest en-suite is relatively modern with
bath and shower over but the family bathroom is old!
Top Floor
- Bedroom 5 with single bed and extra mattress
- Bedroom 6 with truckle bed (pull out bed underneath)
- Bedroom 7 with king-size bed
- Study area with TV, DVD and video
The
house was re-roofed last year and at this time we modernised the top floor.
It is a great “kids zone” with three fun bedrooms and a small study area.
There is limited ceiling height to most of the top floor.
